In the backyards of Vancouver Island's Cumberland, in early 2022, Ofcosmos came together through the shared love of folk music from both Eastern & Western Europe, Africa, America and Jamaica. Using percussive instruments such as the tabla, djembe, guitars, bouzouki, bass and fronted with powerful female vocals, Ofcosmos sounds everything and nothing like what brought them together. 

Ofcosmos's music brings a solid grooved--based rhythm section, a sometimes ambient, effects-driven, sometimes hypnotically rhythmic guitar and powerful lead vocals, Ofcomsos’s sound isn’t easily sorted into a familiar genre. You can however find elements of psychedelic folk, dub, ethno, shoegaze, post-punk and electronic genres.


Ofcosmos is a five-piece band with an exciting, energetic live performance, with song themes that range from love, sorrow, revolution, demonic happenings and sounds that energize, entrance, calm and yet provoke moments of fear, one can’t help but find part of themselves within their music.

Pachena Bay is located 5 kms south of Bamfield, BC,

on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
